Mayor of Chicago Endorses Chicago Build

The Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, has just announced her official support for Midwest’s leading and largest construction and design event, Chicago Build, taking place on September 19 & 20, 2019.
As part of an award-winning and world-renowned series of events, Chicago Build is set to bring together thousands of construction and architecture professionals from across the Midwest to McCormick Place in September 2019.
Lightfoot commends the Chicago Build Expo for “their ongoing efforts to innovate and move the construction and design field forward”. The Mayor also comments on how Chicago Build is a “vital resource for the construction, design and architecture industry”, promoting and connecting local businesses and providing a platform for the announcement of upcoming major construction projects, investment opportunities and developments across the Midwest.
As a champion for equality and diversity, Mayor Lightfoot’s endorsement of the show comes with celebration as Chicago Build strives to support and promote women and diversity in the construction and design industry. Chicago Build will feature two networking & panel events called Women in Construction and Diversity in Construction; both events will explore the challenges that women and minorities face in the construction industry and what is being done to tackle these.
