The 7-story condo development known as 1400 Monroe is ready to welcome residents just over a year after breaking ground in summer 2020. The 38-unit project is currently 75 percent sold with the remaining three-bedroom residences starting at $1 million, according to New York-based developer JK Equities.  

"We've been aggressively working with our partners over the past three years to successfully deliver this project, and we're so proud to see the excitement of buyers starting to move in," said Jerry Karlik, principal of JK Equities, in a statement to Urbanize. "Even during the onset of the pandemic, which is when we broke ground, we never compromised on our promises to buyers and the local community."

Designed by Booth Hansen, 1400 Monroe features a gray brick facade and loft-style windows that provide views of nearby Skinner Park and the city beyond. The residences, which were created by interior designer Mojo Stumer, offer open-concept floorplans with oversized kitchens and high-end finishes. The development team also shared new photography of the property's recently completed model unit.  

The success of 1400 Monroe is good news for the buyers marketing in the West Loop, despite the area's recent high-rise rental boom. Other for-sale projects and proposals include Madison + Carpenter, Peoria Green, CA6, 15 Elizabeth, and 37 S. Sangamon.
