Adrian Russell is a construction industry ambassador, mentor and visionary. Adrian currently serves as Director of DEI & Procurement for Shiel Sexton in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has traveled the country as project manager for over 10 years and has since distinguished himself as a leading voice in the industry through championing paths for people from every walk of life to enjoy long, rewarding careers in construction.

Adrian is a 2023 inductee into the Indianapolis Public Schools Hall of Fame as well as a proud member of Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2021. Additionally, he has been named Diverse Executive of the Year by Indiana Construction Roundtable; Graduate of the Last Decade by Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning; Indy’s Best and Brightest in Real Estate and Construction by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, and a host of other distinctions.

Adrian puts great effort in sowing into the lives of young people, perhaps most notably through the award-winning Russell’s Building Camp which introduces young people from diverse backgrounds to the world of building and inspiring them create a better future for themselves and their community.
