Bryan Schabel
Bryan Schabel joined Perkins&Will in 1995 and works on a variety of education, research, development, corporate and residential projects. His experience with a broad range of markets, clients and cultures allows him to bring a fresh yet knowledgeable approach to every new design challenge.
Supported by extensive project experience and travel around the globe, Bryan’s work reflects sensitivity to surrounding local cultures and climates. He places emphasis on letting location and environment inform a new design rather than attempting to apply ideas out of context. Bryan’s consideration for cultural setting is matched by his tireless dedication to exceeding client expectations. He believes close collaboration and open discussion with clients as team members produce the best design solutions.
Bryan’s work has been recognized with 30 national and local AIA design awards. These include the nationally celebrated Ryan Fieldhouse and Ryan Walter Athletic Center at Northwestern University; The Contemporaine, a glass and exposed concrete mixed-use residential building; and the SoMa Site 3 Lab Building on MIT’s campus.
From concept design through construction, Bryan is committed to maintaining continuity, listening openly to clients’ preferences and concerns, and preserving a sense of dedication and enthusiasm for the process among all members of the design team.
