I grew up around construction. When I say construction, I mean constant home renovations and projects. My parents flipped homes as a side business and always recruited my sister and I to help. It became second nature. Growing up in the Chicago area, I pursued a Marketing Degree at a small liberal arts college in the quiet town of Elmhurst, IL. I was determined to graduate early and enter the workforce. After graduating in January of 2017, I followed my interest in food marketing by working at a few different companies and finally settling in Social Media Marketing for a food agency. I was missing my purpose and looking for something new, when a connection of mine mentioned a new position in Business Operations for a local Construction Company. It combined marketing, recruitment, training & development, and meeting/event coordination. Everything I enjoyed was wrapped up into one role. Combine that with a company that values their employees, encourages personal and career development, and is full of genuinely good people and you've hit the jackpot. As a woman in construction, I'm grateful for those around me that push for women to succeed in this industry.
