Charlie is currently a Senior Project Manager and Sustainability Lead within Elara Engineering’s Building Performance Group. Over his career, he has gained national recognition as an expert in sustainability and high-performance building design and operation with deep experience in energy consumption analyses, energy audits/assessments, energy modeling, and commissioning measurement and verification for a wide variety of project types that include high-rise multi-family residential, office, higher education, commercial, government, and institutional. 

In his role as Senior Project Manager, Charlie is responsible for the successful delivery of a wide variety of energy and sustainability projects including coordinating staff, maintaining communication with clients and project teams, and overseeing project execution.  As a Sustainability Lead, Charlie serves in a critical role in the ongoing development and implementation of Elara’s technical standards and guidelines pertaining to sustainability practices within the firm and is responsible for internal and external presentations on sustainability technical subject matters and specifications.  He also serves a lead role in the development of energy efficiency and sustainability projects by strengthening relationships with existing clients and developing new clients.

Prior to his current role with Elara Engineering, Mr. Saville was Principal – Director of Sustainability at FitzGerald Associates Architects in their Chicago, Reston, VA, and Denver offices (2022-2024); Vice President – Sustainability & Energy at WMA Consulting Engineers (now Salas O’Brien, 2010-2022) in Chicago, IL; and Principal – Energy & Sustainability at Sieben Energy Associates (1998-2010) in Chicago, IL.
