Darnell Crenshaw joined OSHA in 2003 as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer (CSHO). He is currently the Assistant Regional Administrator for Cooperative and State Programs in the OSHA Chicago Regional Office since 2014, where he leads a diverse group of safety and health professionals to reduce hazards and assist workers and employer with understanding their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. He brings over 30 years of experience to the position, where he has worked directly with public and private industry stakeholders and policymakers. Having served over 11 years in the private sector as an environmental safety and health consultant and over 17 years with OSHA, Mr. Crenshaw’s experience includes strategic policy development, program implementation, safety training at the OSHA Training Institute, and various executive level details in OSHA’s National and Regional Offices. Mr. Crenshaw holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
