As the Sustainable Design Lead dedicated to CannonDesign’s Chicago office, Emily offers general green building expertise as well as a deep knowledge of local sustainability concerns. Emily has worked with projects in a wide variety of building sectors, supporting teams in setting and realizing ambitious yet attainable goals for energy, water, and material impacts. Emily brings extensive experience with LEED and other third-party rating systems to the design process, using her knowledge of those tools to find the best approach for each project. Sustainable design expectations and challenges are rapidly evolving, and Emily is always looking for the next opportunity to help projects distinguish themselves and make a positive environmental impact. She holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
