John Campbell, AIA
John Campbell brings more than eight years of professional experience as an architect and designer. At Goettsch Partners, he serves as a project designer on a range of architectural projects, focusing on complex geometries, custom building enclosures, and detailing. He is chair of the GP Sustainability Committee which advocates for knowledge sharing within project teams as well as the use of new strategies to assist façade design and system performance. He has worked on various projects, including master planning, hotel, office, retail, and mixed-use buildings across the U.S. and Asia.
John champions the use of new technologies to push the boundaries of enclosure design. His work is key to ensuring that the design intent is supported by a high standard of rigor through the design process and into the project delivery. He has been instrumental in developing solutions to achieve complex façade geometries on projects such as the Wenzhou Harbor District Landmark Tower and the Shenzhen Minsheng E-Commerce Towers. Previously in a façade specialist role, he implemented design and sustainable solutions, driving the success of the skylight for the Willis Tower Repositioning and the ETFE enclosure used on The Shed at Hudson Yards. John’s background in merging architectural intent with custom façade design proves him to be a conduit through which high-quality projects are delivered.
