Kimberly Morris
Kimberly Morris is an economic development professional with over 10 years of experience supporting small businesses, revitalizing commercial corridors and bringing much needed resources to underserved neighborhoods. Kimberly currently serves as Director of Real Estate and Community Development at Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives, where she designs the organizations’ development strategy and activities and builds client and community relationships. Kimberly also works to generate support for citywide opportunities and initiatives as well as managing all aspects of CNI’s construction projects. Prior to joining CNI, Kimberly was a regional planner at the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development where she led planning and economic development efforts for the Invest SouthWest initiative.
Kimberly holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Local Government Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kimberly currently serves as Assistant Director for the Chicago Metro Section of American Planning Association-Illinois Chapter and was past Vice-President of Women in Planning and Development Chicago (2017-19).
