Lauren Ashley Allan
For Lauren Ashley Allan, founder of her namesake interior design firm, her journey has been defined by two decades of excellence working alongside Architectural Digest’s AD100 designers mastering the art of sophisticated interiors. Allan’s portfolio includes boutique hotels, restaurants, retail spaces and yachts. In 2020, Allan launched her own firm—now based in Illinois—where she and her team craft stunning, high-end residential spaces for discerning clients worldwide.
Allan believes design is storytelling. A home should be a reflection of its inhabitants, the places they’ve travelled to, and the objects and ideas that have inspired them. Allan and her team uniquely curate each space, pushing the boundaries and challenging the traditional rules of design and product. Allan loves seeing her sketches and ideas come to life with her clients through an inspiring design process. Juxtapositions are at the heart of the process: mixing technology with craft, modern with traditional, new emerging artists with vintage flea market finds, neutrals with bold textures and patterns. Allan and her team play with the quiet tension between design that is both poetic and unexpected, while also firmly rooted in practicality and purpose. Each space is grounded in history and culture, combined with a vision that launches forward, pushes limits, and shapes philosophies. Design is an opportunity to share passion and help people around the world, made possible by consistent collaboration with talented creatives and incredible clients. For Allan, design in an intuitive art.
Lauren Ashley Allan has a BFA in Interior Design and a Master of Architecture from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Allan regularly gives back to the design community. She resides in Illinois with her husband and their two children.
