Len Sciarra
Len is a recognized expert and speaker in integrating sustainable design principles into architectural practice. A strategic problem-solver, Len brings over 30 years of experience to his sustainability projects and has completed projects for a broad spectrum of clients including small interiors to ground–up facilities. Having a strong background in sustainable design, drawing organization, general buildability, and building simulation, he advocates for green design and energy efficiency as a necessary part of good design.
Len was part of the core team that developed the AIA 2030 climate change reporting tool, was a past chair of the Chicago AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE), and was a key player in the passage of benchmarking and green building ordinances in Chicago and Evanston, IL. Currently, Len serves as the Chair of the Envelope Sub Committee of ASHRAE SSPC 90.1.
