Mark Kostic
Mark Kostic is Senior Vice President, Asset Management, at Brookfield Properties in Chicago, IL, where he helps lead the asset management duties for Brookfield’s U.S. retail portfolio encompassing over 130 regional mall and high street properties. Before joining the firm’s retail platform in Chicago in 2021, Mark spent nearly 10 years with Brookfield in New York, where he most recently led the firm’s Forest City New York office and retail portfolio, which included notable assets such as the New York Times Building and the Times Square retail portfolio.
Prior to that, Mark played a key role in the redevelopment and led the asset management of Brookfield Place New York (formerly known as the World Financial Center) and the development and subsequent asset management of Manhattan West, together totaling more than 15 million sq. ft. of mixed-use office and retail.
Mark joined Brookfield in 2011 within the company's analytical rotational program encompassing U.S. Office Acquisitions, Office and Retail Leasing, Asset Management and Development. He graduated with a BBA in finance and a concentration in real estate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council for Shopping Centers.
