Paula Zimin
Paula Zimin is a Senior Leader for Arup’s Climate & Sustainability Services Portfolio. An Associate Principal and Registered Architect, she has extensive experience in establishing and achieving sustainability and energy efficiency goals in various building typologies. Paula specializes in building science, envelope systems, healthy buildings, and simplified HVAC to achieve building decarbonization goals. In her role, Paula collaborates across disciplines and business sectors to develop new partnerships and accelerate decarbonization, regenerate communities, and deliver healthy environments. Paula is a former Chair of USGBC’s Energy & Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group and led the LEED v4.1 credit updates in that category. She has directly worked with industry groups and government agencies to practically advance energy codes nationally and regionally. Paula is passionate about the relationship of building energy and participation with the grid, impacts of building design and operations on human health, and leveraging the development process to support equity in our communities.
