Robby Deem is an Associate at Arup and leads the Chicago Acoustics, Audiovisual, Theatre, & Experience Design team. With nearly twelve years of experience in the built environment, Robby is a project manager for major multi-discipline projects in the Americas and aims to deliver innovating holistic design solutions for clients ranging across a multitude of market sectors. His primary markets of work include Property, Science Industry & Technology, & Aviation where he looks to bring health & wellbeing focused design into the forefront for the benefit of the occupant experience.

Outside of his project leadership and technical roles, Robby is a member of the Equity Diversity and Inclusion committee, a member of our Americas Influence Executive, and has served as a champion for change management in a recent reorganization of the firm.

Outside of Arup, Robby is a member of the Illinois Green Alliance and is an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago in the Audio Arts & Acoustics department where he teaches a course on Acoustical Modeling. He lives in Bucktown & can often be found on the 606 or Lakefront trail. This year, he is training for his 11th consecutive Chicago Marathon.
