As a Latina woman and daughter of immigrants as well as a first-generation college student I have experienced first hand what it's like to be underrepresented and oftentimes brushed off. After college I made it purpose to advise these classes. As an insurance broker that has honed my niche and expertise to focus on high-hazard risks and represent women-owned and minority-owned businesses in the Chicagoland area in order to preserve these hard-working classes and represent them in a way that I would like someone to represent me at a younger age.
